Quebec City, May 25, 2019 - Not-for-profit organization, Kids Code Jeunesse (KCJ) is pleased to announce that Ubisoft and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of Quebec will invest $350,000 for the deployment of its Code Club program across the province of Quebec. This program offers free, weekly coding workshops to support the development of digital skills for kids aged 8 to 12.

Code Club is a Canadian network of free coding clubs for children aged 8 to 12, run in public community spaces. By offering these clubs in settings such as libraries, KCJ supports spaces that allow for deeper and enriched learning, which strengthening the connection between education and community.
Through this project, KCJ and its partners plan to begin and support more than 200 new clubs across Quebec and reach 8,000 children over the next two years. There are already clubs in 10 regions of Quebec. This project aims to open clubs in all 17 regions. Other regions may join the initiative depending on the demand of local libraries.
